A children’s camp unique and like no other. Planned and executed by youth volunteers for the pure passion and love for the camp. I’m definitely sending my kids….. Afterall I was a youth instructor for this same camp some twenty years ago! Long live the tradition of TGCC’s annual children’s camp!

I attended this camp as a kid, and had a memorable time! Helped out as a volunteer when I was older and now, my boy attends the same camp. As a parent, i feel safe leaving my boy there for three full days as i know that the progrmmes are planned with safety in mind. It’s a great camp packed with lots of activities. There is a lot of bonding between kids & instructors. Can’t wait to send my little girl there!

Seeing the passion and love put in a event which started off with the pure and simple intention of bringing children together in a camp, filled with the simplest activities to bond, interact and have fun.

I first went to the camp when I was in kindergarten and ever since then, the camp is something I looked forward to every December holiday. I enjoyed the camp as a kid, I looked up to the instructors as idols and I wished to become one of them when I get older. I did eventually stayed on and helped in organizing the camp. Till now, it is still an important event to me. Through the camp, I learnt a lot, from planning the program to managing the children, and I met most of my best friends there, friends that I can rely on for many years to come. It is a camp that all volunteers put their heart and soul in planning so that the children have a wonderful experience. You will never know what it is like until you join us!

Time flies, it has become my turn to relieve the memories of the camp that was and is still part of my life..
It seems like yesterday that I am waking up in the wee hours to prepare for the camp, overwhelmed with excitement as I anticipate the 3 days 2 nights camp as a 7-yearr-old! What makes my heart stay with the camp is the hardwork, fun, creativity all in the name of passion, which I dare say no other camp does. No money gained, just loads of creative and safe programs, sincere instructors who gave their all in this short duration. What they bring home are tears, memories and bonding of hearts at the end of the day, instructors and children as one, as they wish time move ahead to the following year’s camp. For a camp to sustain for 30 over years, one may not hear of and may wonder. These testimonials are from those who had seen it, been through it and stayed with it. Why not let your kids go through what we had, it may just change their minds forever With your support, we will keep this tradition burning and I marvel that my little one can get to experience what I did, in just another 3 years!

I have been with the camp since 1990, along with Yuzhi, Peishan and many others. We started off as kids and had always looked upon the instructors as our idols. For sure, this camp is super fun and I have experienced what a team is capable of, the teamwork that we can produce even when we were so young then. It was our instructors who make us realize we are stronger as a team. Today, the people in the camp call me “Uncle” instead of “Kor Kor”, that’s how much I grew in this camp. Even though I can no longer feel how it is like to join in the camp like I used to have, I am still here in this camp as always to experience the magic this camp brings to me.
